Kelfit Lifestyle believes in changing lives, not only our clients' but also the people in our community. We've been part of numerous social projects, trying to uplift ladies we meet.
A MASSIVE Thank you to every single person who donated towards the Freedom day kids soccer day!
We were able to raise enough to buy trophies and cooldrinks for the 80 boys and I also managed to buy snacks, sweets and drinks for the Thembeka foundation kiddies who were there to support. The Thembeka foundation looks after and uplifts underprivileged kids in the community!
A huge thank you to the Lima Rural development foundation who donated all the patties and to Quarry spar Rodney and Greg for the donation of rolls. To Mornay Le Roux for running around fetching and buying everything.
Thank you to Jaxx for being a drop off point and cooking all 100 patties! Well done Sanele Ndlela for all you do for these boys. Makes my heart so warm to be involved in an event like this on such a special day in South Africa!
Olga, our domestic worker has a passion for running. She runs between 5-10km a day and has lost 5kgs so far. She complained her ankles are hurting her so I asked her what shoes she is running in and she replied these ones the ones I am wearing. (please see pic below) I was horrified!
I have a couple of pairs I don’t wear and was going to give them to her but she is a size 6 and I an 8. Just before going to buy her some I put an appeal on my Kelfit Gals Facebook group for any ladies who have size 6s they aren’t wearing. The response was overwhelming. Olga now has 4 pairs of running shoes and kind ladies donated cash for her to get some new running gear and socks plus so many other ladies wanting to donate shoes!
How amazing are the ladies 😍😍😍 Olga is thrilled and started crying when I gave her all her stuff! Thank you my Kelfit angels wanting to donate and be involved. I have decided to start a township shoe running project. Will post more details soon!November 2017
The bug has bitten Olga!
For those who have been following her journey. Some of my clients and friends sponsored Olga our B&B domestic worker a few pairs of running shoes after hearing about her running passion. We also bought her a couples of items of running clothing. Last week she entered her first 10km- The Save hyper run. I Just took her to the official Comrades house to register for her 2nd 10km race - The edendale 10km for this Sunday. Thank you Lilanie Schallies for sponsoring her race entry and transport for the day!
I told her one day when she wants to enter the Comrades Marathon this is where she will come. She is like a kid in a candy store. Even her husband says she is obsessed and all she can think about is running. It’s as if he doesn’t exist :) will keep you posted! Her aim this Sunday is to better last weeks time. Go Olga!
Olga finished her race and beat her time. Her first 10km race 1;52. She did it in 1:45 today and she is so chuffed for a medal. Thanks again Lilanie Schallies for sponsoring her race entry!
Ekukhanyeni special needs school in PMB has a lot of young girls who are in desperate need of sanitary pads. The government has stopped providing them of this necessity- Imagine being without this resource!
Ladies who donated to our sanitary pad cause, we purchased R1200's worth of pads. We also donated 500 rolls and 500 eggs from a sponsor to make them rolls. Thank you to all who were involved.
